Moodle is a great tool for educators to use to produce online courses for distance learning or for curriculum enhancement. This open source software can run on a district server and provide teachers with a great (free) tool for online courses. CTAP offers this tool to schools in the Central Coast area of California for free.

Each course includes research proven one on one contact as part of the class structure. Students participate in forums or discussions online. Courses require students to submit work online for group evaluation. Because the class is ongoing and contains elements of support and encouragement they can be a major force for change in a school district.
Group meetings will take place starting in September 2007 but until then teachers and administrators may begin the class in individual mode.

SCPHOTO - Co-teach this class with your own group of students for $5 - $10 per students. This distance learning class is a complete high school photography class with digital textbook and assignments to complete. Co-teach by doing the face to face work with students, support during class and the grades. SCPHOTO supplies the curriculum, technical tips and assignments to follow. |
